Rebekah Drakes is a London-based photographer whose work primarily focuses on queer identity and rave culture. She captures members of alternative subcultures using a 35mm lens and employs a mix of dark and bright colour palettes. Her aim is to emphasise the importance of community and ethnic representation, while shifting perceptions of these communities from external perspectives to a more personal one.
Rebekah enjoys exploring various forms of image-making, ranging from documentary to portrait photography. Her goal is to highlight the stories and emotions of individuals, particularly those from marginalised backgrounds. Her work centres on portraiture and nightlife, showcasing human connection and the freedom of expression. In late 2025, she worked with Dazed Club at one of their Cinema Club screenings for 'My Father's Shadow, a film by Akinola Davies Jr.
